About 

Natalia Teresa Martinez is a classically trained emerging actor, director and writer. Born and raised in South Texas, she has a strong connection to her Mexican-American roots which influences her work in many ways such as her writing and the work she is drawn to developing. She has been participating in the performing arts since her childhood. Getting her start at a young age in church recitals, she then participated in her high school theatre department before deciding to pursue further training at Boston University where she discovered a love for directing and writing in addition to acting. 

Natalia graduated from Boston University’s School of theatre with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts Performance. While there she studied abroad at the London Academy of Dramatic Arts for Classical Acting. 

She has a particular interest in New Works development having participated in multiple, including Llorona or the Weeping Women by Gabriella Tovar-Borghini produced by Boston Center for the Arts. The ability to develop a work from the beginning and help create the vision for the piece is a way to have something that exceeds yourself. With a deep love for classics as well she tries to bring that imagination to breathe new life into them. She approaches each project with an openness and excitement for the journey ahead.
